Heavily cratered, eastern edge of the South Pole-Aitken Basin is viewed with the shadowed terminator - the boundary between lunar day and night at the top of image. The South Pole-Aitken Basin is the largest and the oldest basin on the Moon. A glimpse into the Moon's geologic history built up over billions of years.

Artemis III Mission - planned for mid 2027 - 2028; a period for critical testing on docking capabilities, Orion Spacecraft  docking with a commercial lander(SpaceX Starship or Blue Origin)

Artemis IV Mission - Landing astronauts on the Moon; scheduled for early 2028, focusing on the South Pole.
